Country is diffuse into twenty-one counties and has a population of about 4,500,00 in 2007. Its capital is Zagreb and has about 940,000 inhabitants. The size of Croatia is just about the size of West Virginia in the USA. It is a difficult decision where to travel in Croatia, because the entire country is beautiful and all regions are unique.

Natural Springs and swallow holes, crystal clear green-hued rivers, a blue sea rich with life – this wealth of water and underground water courses rank Croatia in fifth place on the European ladder of water reserves.

Forests cover virtually half of continental Croatia. These forest areas are the fourth-longest in Europe. In lowlands and mountainous forests there are some 170 distinct biological communities – broad-leafed, coniferous and mixt, flood forests, primeval forests, parks, juniper brushwoods and macchia are the special features of the afforest world of Croatia.

In a pleasant climate, with friendly people and experient guides, you will travel under your own steam through and through a kingdom of unchained nature by kayak, bicycle, raft, under sail; or easy wend your path over mountain wilderness…

Nestling between the Alps, the Pannonian Plain and the Adriatic Sea, in the south-eastern part of the European continent, Croatia jealously protects 8 national parks, ten nature parks and a whole range of special reserves, including flora, animals, geological formations, hydrological phenomena, entirely within a little but rich field that can be travelled by auto from one end to another in a one day. Some paths run between rivers, mountain peaks, tiny island ports and beaches, extending to Illyrian hill forts, to Roman ruins, to towns and cities that are themselves monuments, to ethno-entities of popular architecture.
