Nudist beaches in North Dalmatia – ISLANDS ONLY





There are two bigger cities – Zadar and Sibenik – in the Northern Dalmatia and both of them have their own archipelago of islands. Those islands are island of Pasman, Dugi Otok (Long Island), island of Silba, Ugljan, Iz Island and the island of Prvic. Parts of this archipelago are also some of the Kornati islands, but there are no nudist areas on them.

Island of Pasman

On the island of Pasman you can find a naturist zone by searching for naturist car camping Sovinje. This camp has got two gorgeous beaches, sandy and surrounded by aromatic pine woods, only 2 kilometres from the tiny fisherman village of Tkon. The camp is made for maximum 250 individuals in groups or by themselves. In the camp of Sovinje you can count on electricity and running water to be on your dispose, for certainly you won’t have to look far for your toilet and shower, there is a bar as like a mini-market for your convenience.

From the island of Pasman there are also some excursions organized. You can choose between boat trips to the islands of Kornati or else to the falls of the river Krka on the mainland.

If the sea doesn’t satisfy your need for recreation and moving, you can always play a bit of table tennis or a beach volley.

In the camp Sovinje you are welcomed in the months between April and September. For every year regular visitors and for the members of INF there are also some special discounts. They will cut your price even relied on how long you are staying in the camp of Sovinje.

When you are going to the island of Pasman you have to know also a bit about how to get there. Two of the easiest ways and the most recommended ones is from the city of Zadar or its neighbour city Biograd. From Zadar you take a ferry to the island Ugljan (Preko), from Biograd you can go to the village of Tkon on the island Pasman. Don’t worry, the bridge is linking the island of Ugljan and the island of Pasman. There are also some good connections with Italy (Ancona).

Dugi Otok (Long Island)
The biggest island of the mentioned archipelago is the Long Island whose name is translated to English from the Croatian name Dugi Otok. Its length is about 45 kilometres; all fulfilled by numerous lonely beaches and bays that will for sure satisfy your need for peace and calmness. Dugi Otok is an ideal place for extended strides or hikes in its beautiful pure surroundings.

Particularly attractive place to visit on the Long Island is the park of nature Telascica. Telascica is the biggest natural marina on the islands of Adriatic Sea. It is home of the Mouflon, one variety of a wild sheep. Don’t miss to see the lake of Mir (Peace) when you are in Telascica – a lake of salty water.

Beaches on the Long Island are very diverse depending on their position. In the vicinity of the island’s biggest village Sali, there are in general gravel beaches with rocky terraces and sea cliffs surrounded by a pinewood. On the Long Island you can also find sandy beaches accessible only by a boat. Saharun is a famous beach of white sand to which you can come also by car. Sandy beach is the Pantera cove too.

No, I didn’t forget about naturism. You can take your clothes of practically on all of the beaches on the Dugi Otok, exceptions are only beaches close to villages. Are you going to ask me why do I love Croatian beaches?

Ferries are driving every day to the Dugi Otok (Brbinj) from Zadar. This ride lasts about an hour and can be very enjoyable when weather is nice, and well, it is nice most of the time.

The island of Silba

Although there are no official nudist beaches or camps, on the island of Silba you can for sure find a place to swim and sunbathe nude. The Island of Silba is mostly known for absence of any road for motor vehicles on its area, so tranquillity and silence can assist you to loosen up and to take the best of every small moment of your holidays. On the island of Silba there are no hotels so it’s a custom to take a private accommodation in beautiful apartments offered by local people.

Another particularity of the Silba Island is its beneficial influence in healing fertility troubles of women.

The island of Ugljan
Beautiful FKK pebbly beach with sandy foundation, sheltered by aromatic pine trees in the north east on the island of Ugljen is Jelenica. Jelenica nudist beach is positioned in the vicinity of the beach for textiles Sabusa and if you want to go for a drink or to a store, you’ll have to walk about 10 minutes to the village Kukljica.

That is not all the island of Ugljan has got to offer you. Liberty of nudism can be enjoyed in a lot of secret inlets and wild beaches. If you are in a possession of a small boat, you can also make a little trip to the unpopulated islands: Paranak, Tri sestrice and Idula.

The island of Iz

For staying on this little island you’ll have to organise yourself a private accommodation, although there is one hotel – Korinjak. I recommend you to do so because in this way you’ll have a perfect quiet and relaxing vacation. The island of Iz is a small island and almost exclusively you can find a restaurant, a bar, shops and place to tie a small boat in its major centre – Veli Iz.

Veli Iz (Iz island)

From Veli Iz you can go to the pleasure trip on the small nudist isle Rutnjak. There you can stay the whole day and then go back with taxi boat to your accommodation.
The island of Iz is easy reachable from Zadar by ferry.

The island of Prvic

If you are on a vacation and staying in Vodice near Sibenik then the island of Prvic is a perfect goal for a day tour.

Prvic Luka

Prvic Luka and Sepurine are two gorgeous silent villages on the island of Prvic. They still have that old Mediterranean appeal offered by the famous Mediterranean makija, old estates of wine growers, olives and charming little inlets. For your accommodation the most suitable are private rooms and apartments offered by locals.

A nudist beach is to be found close to Sepurine. It is mainly a rocky beach with beautiful sunbath positions.

The island of Prvic is easily and daily regularly reachable from Sibenik and Vodice.
