The second largest island on the Adriatic Sea is the island of Cres. You can get to Cres by car, bus, boat, ferry, catamaran or a plane on the neighbourhood island of Lošinj. Here you can find information on various travelling options how to travel to Cres.

Cres by car and ferry

To get to Cres with your car, if you come from the north countries you have to drive in direction of Rijeka. Take care of signs on the road to deviate to the Islands Cres, Krk and Lošinj. If you come from Italy or Slovenia you should turn for the Brestova ferry harbour, if you come form Southern Croatia (Dalmatia) or from the Croatia’s capital – Zagreb then go to the Krk island and ferry harbour Valbiska.

Ferries ride often during the day, and in summer months there is usually a lot of cars on the ferry boats. In case of big crowds ferries ride uninterruptedly. Each ferry trip takes around 20 minutes.

Cres by bus

From Rijeka and Croatia capital Zagreb there is a daily direct bus service to the islands Cres and Losinj.
