FKK Beaches on Croatian Coast
Croatia is a beautiful naturist destination for approximately fifty years and it is well known for its history of naturism. On Croatian coast you can find more than 30 official nudist camps, hotels, beaches, tourist villages, apartments and many more unofficial FKK bathing places.
You can call them FKK, nudist or naturist; always you are talking about the same thing. German and Dutch nudists say that they are going on bare-all beach holidays.
FKK is abbreviation from the German word Freikorperkultur (meaning Free Body Culture) and it stands also for a sign for the nudist or naturist places.
Nudists are in general very well accepted along the entire Croatian coastline.
Places for naturist you can put in a couple of groups. First, there are official naturist beaches. Mostly you can find them right within all naturist resorts and camps or you can even find them as a part of textile resorts like a special areas meant only for naturists. Such naturist beaches also charge the entrance.
Next there are so named free beaches. Such naturist beaches have only unofficial status thanks to its continuity in existing during many years. On those beaches clothing is mostly optional. Most often the entrance is not charged.
In the end there are also wild beaches which are absolutely optional to be bare or to keep swimming suit on. On such beaches depends on a day when will prevail naturist or textiles.
Naturist beaches, together with its facilities, in Croatia focus on different visitor categories such as adults, families, gays etc. You can often find beaches divided into these categories.
For sure it is not irrelevant to point out that all of the naturist beaches on Croatia’s Adiatic coast are very easy to find and are in general very close to the town centre, village or a resort. Almost on every regular beach you can find a naturist section (the most often where the beach ends).
Usually, they are even free of charge!
